Selecting the Reference Level

For the measurement, you can select from various reference levels:

The rear edge of the measuring tool (e.g. when placing against walls)

The tip of the stop pin (8) folded by 180° (e.g. for measurements from corners)

The front edge of the measuring tool (e.g. when measuring from a table edge)

The centre of the tripod thread (19) (e.g. for tripod measurements)

  1. Press the soft button  to open the Basic settings menu.
  2. Select .
  3. Use the  button or  button to select the required reference level.
  4. To confirm the selection, press the  button.

Swinging the stop pin (8) in and out by 180° is automatically detected and the corresponding reference level suggested. To confirm the selection, press the  button.

The rear edge of the measuring tool is preset as the reference level every time the measuring tool is switched on.
