Loading the magazine (see figures A1–A4)

Use only original Bosch accessories. The precision parts of the power tool, such as the magazine, the outlet and the shot duct, are matched to Bosch staples, nails and brads. Other manufacturers use different steel grades and sizes.

Note: Only use fasteners specified in the "Technical Data" table.

Using unapproved fasteners can damage the power tool and cause injuries.

While loading the magazine, hold the power tool in such a manner that the outlet (18) is not pointed at your body or at other persons.

• Clean the magazine slider (15) as required and make sure that the magazine (14) is not contaminated.
• Insert a suitable nail strip (20) in the T-slot at the end of the magazine (14).
• Push the nail strip forwards in the magazine until the last nail is positioned in front of the magazine spring (21).

Note: Electronic monitoring detects whether nails can be found in the magazine. If the discharge lock-off is depressed when the magazine is empty, no discharging procedure is triggered. Blank firing is thus prevented.

• Press the pretensioned nail pusher (16) against the magazine slider (15) and, at the same time, pull the magazine slider completely to the end of the magazine (14).

Note: The magazine slider must slide back with only low force (finger-pressure). A jammed magazine slider has the following effects: The nail is not discharged, the nail gets caught in the shot duct (see jam) or the nail is discharged at the wrong angle.

• With the nail pusher (15) pressed, carefully guide the magazine slider (16) forwards until the nail pusher is over the last nail, thus pushing the nail strip in the magazine completely to the front.

Note: Do not let the magazine slider snap back without guiding it. This could damage the magazine slider and there is a risk of getting your fingers caught.
