Starting Operation

The worklight (10) illuminates the work area in poor lighting conditions. Switch on the worklight (10) by lightly pressing the on/off switch (12). If you press down harder on the on/off switch, the power tool will switch on and the worklight will remain illuminated.

  • Do not look directly into the worklight; it can blind you.

The rotational direction switch (11) is used to change the rotational direction of the power tool. However, this is not possible while the on/off switch (12) is being pressed.

Right rotation: To drill and to drive in screws, press the rotational direction switch (11) through to the left stop.

Left rotation: To loosen and unscrew screws, press the rotational direction switch (11) through to the right stop.

To start the power tool, press and hold the on/off switch (12).

The LEDs (10) light up when the on/off switch (12) is lightly or fully pressed, meaning that the work area is illuminated in poor lighting conditions.

To switch off the power tool, release the on/off switch (12).

You can adjust the speed of the power tool when it is on by pressing in the on/off switch (12) to varying extents.

A light pressure on the on/off switch (12) results in a low rotational speed. Increased pressure on the switch causes an increase in speed.

The torque presetting ring (3) can be used to pre-select the required torque in 20 stages. Once the set torque has been reached, the tool will stop delivering power to the application.

  • Only operate the gear selector (5) when the power tool is not in use.

First gear:

Low speed range; for working with a large drilling diameter or for screwdriving.

Second gear:

High speed range; for working with a small drilling diameter.

  • Always push the gear selector switch as far as it will go. Otherwise, the power tool may become damaged.

When used as intended, the power tool cannot be overloaded. In the event of overloading or the temperature rising/falling outside the permitted operating temperature range, the speed will be reduced. The power tool will not run at full speed again until the permitted operating temperature has been reached.

The drill spindle, and therefore the tool holder (1), are locked when the on/off switch (12) is not pressed.

This enables screws to be screwed in even when the battery (7) is empty and allows the power tool to be used as a screwdriver.

The rapid shut-off function (KickBack Control) gives the user greater control over the power tool and offers them better protection than power tools that do not have KickBack Control. The power tool will switch off if it suddenly and unforeseeably rotates around the drilling axis.

The rapid shut-off is indicated by the worklight (10) flashing as well as the LED of the "KickBack control" button (9) on the power tool lighting up red.

To switch the tool back on, release the on/off switch and then press it again.

  • It will no longer be possible to switch the power tool on if the KickBack Control function is faulty. Have the power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only original replacement parts.

The rapid shut-off function can be deactivated with the "KickBack Control" button (9). If the power tool is not used for longer than 5 minutes or if the rechargeable battery is removed, the rapid shut-off function automatically switches back on. The current status is shown via the LED of the "KickBack Control" button (9).
