Starting Operation

To switch on the power tool, first press the lock-off switch (6) on the rear side of the power tool. Then press the on/off switch (5) and keep it pressed.

Note: For safety reasons, the on/off switch (5) cannot be locked; it must remain pressed during the entire operation.

The worklight (14) lights up when the on/off switch (5) is lightly or fully pressed, allowing the work area to be illuminated in poor lighting conditions.

To switch off, release the on/off switch (5). Then press the lock-off switch (6) on the front side of the power tool to secure the on/off switch (5) against being switched on unintentionally.

The restart protection feature prevents the power tool from uncontrolled starting after the power supply to it has been interrupted.

To restart the tool, set the on/off switch (5) to the off position and then switch the power tool on again.

You can adjust the speed of the bandsaw blade by pressing in the on/off switch (5) to varying extents.

You can also preselect the blade speed and change it during operation using the thumbwheel (4).

The required blade speed depends on the material and the working conditions; it can be ascertained through practical tests.

In normal conditions of use, the power tool cannot be overloaded. If the power tool is overloaded or the permitted battery temperature is exceeded, the electronics of the power tool will switch off until the temperature returns to within the optimum operating temperature range.
