Inserting/replacing the bandsaw blade

An overview of recommended bandsaw blades can be found at the end of these instructions.

Swivel the pre-tension lever (12) as far as it will go in the  direction. Release the two locking clips (9) and lift up the cover (15).

Guide the bandsaw blade (11) bit by bit into the saw blade guides (16). The rear end of the saw blade must touch the bearings in the bottom part of the saw blade guides (16).

Guide the bandsaw blade (11) bit by bit around the two rollers (17).

To tension the bandsaw blade (11), swivel the pre-tension lever (12) in the  direction as far as it will go. Check whether the bandsaw blade (11) is running correctly around both rollers (17).

Close the cover (15) and lock it with the locking clips (9).

  • Check that the bandsaw blade (11) is seated correctly. Briefly switch the power tool on and off several times. If the bandsaw blade is not mounted correctly, it can come undone and injure you.

Swivel the pre-tension lever (12) as far as it will go in the  direction. Release the two locking clips (9) and lift up the cover (15).

Pull the bandsaw blade (11) out of the saw blade guides (16) and out of the two rollers (17).
