Pressing Process (see figures G−I)
- Make sure that you are able to press the reset button without releasing the handle at all times.
If fluid escapes from the connection to be pressed, ensure that it does not get on or enter the power tool.
At the start of the pressing process, press the on switch (2) in and keep it pressed until the worklight (7) flashes after 1.5 s and the forced pressing process is started.
Once the maximum pressing force has been reached, the motor will switch off automatically. The worklight will go out after approx. 10 s.
Check that the press jaw is fully closed. If the pressing procedure was unsuccessful, repeat the process with a new press fitting.
Note: Having a status indicator (4) lit green and a closed press jaw at the end of the pressing process does not guarantee leak-tight compression. Independently of this, use suitable test equipment to check the pipe system for leaks.
To remove the power tool, press on the rear ends of the press jaw (1) ➊ and pull the power tool away from the press fitting ➋ (see figure I).
Cancelling the pressing process in the event of faults:
- Cancelling the pressing process before the start of forced pressing: Press the reset button (6) and let go of the on switch (2). Hold the reset button down until the motor switches off. The cylinder is moved back and the press jaw can be opened.
- Cancelling ongoing forced pressing: Press the on switch (2) again. The motor is switched off. Then press the reset button (6). The cylinder is moved back and the press jaw can be opened.
- Note: If the pressing process is aborted, compression is not guaranteed. Repeat the pressing process with a new press fitting.
Note: Do not switch on the power tool while the cylinder is being moved back at the end of a pressing process or while the emergency switch (6) is being pressed.
